DEVICE HOST ECONOMICS

Earnings Calculator

Understand how MineAPI estimates inference Credit and MMGA rewards for an inference-capable device.

The calculator is a planning tool for device hosts. It separates paid inference income from MMGA network incentives so the two economic sources remain transparent.

Two reward streams

A MineAPI host can earn through two independent mechanisms.

RewardTriggerDashboard unit
Inference incomeThe node completes paid user inferenceUSD Credit
MMGA rewardsThe node provides eligible, verified capacityMMGA

Inference Credit depends on real API demand. MMGA helps bootstrap supply and maintain available network capacity when utilization is low.

The calculator keeps MMGA rewards visible when inference coverage is set to 0%. This demonstrates the dual-reward design; it does not guarantee that every powered-on device is eligible for rewards.

Calculator inputs

Device profile

Choose the closest reference device. The frontend currently includes NVIDIA RTX 4090, AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Mac Studio M3 Ultra and NVIDIA A100 80GB profiles.

Production estimates will use measured model performance instead of relying only on the device name.

Device count

The number of equivalent devices associated with the estimate. Devices with different performance should be calculated separately.

Available daily

The number of hours per day each device can remain eligible for MineAPI work. Owner workloads keep priority, so availability should include only the time you intend to share.

Inference job coverage

The estimated percentage of available time that receives real paid inference work. This is not the same as GPU utilization inside an individual job.

Inference income

The current frontend preview uses a device reference rate:

Inference Credit
= Reference income per hour
× Available hours
× Device count
× Selected period
× Inference coverage

For real inference revenue, the Tokenomics allocate:

  • 85% to the GPU Provider
  • 15% to the Platform

Production calculations should be based on completed and verified jobs, the price paid for those jobs, and the applicable provider share—not solely on an assumed hourly value.

MMGA rewards

The website preview uses a simplified device reference rate so hosts can see how the second reward stream behaves.

The official economic design primarily determines GPU MMGA rewards from:

Verified Inference Performance
× Effective Online Time
× Network Utilization Multiplier

The network utilization multiplier ranges from 1.50× at 0% utilization to 1.00× at the 20% target and declines moderately to 0.80× at 100% utilization.

Higher-performance devices earn more because performance is measured against a standardized inference workload. Merely connecting additional machines is not sufficient.

Worked example

Assume one RTX 4090 is available for 12 hours per day over seven days, with an estimated 65% inference coverage.

Using the current frontend reference values:

Active available time = 12 × 7 = 84 hours
Paid inference time   = 84 × 65% = 54.6 hours
Inference estimate    = $0.86 × 54.6 = $46.96 Credit
MMGA preview          = 42 × 84 = 3,528 MMGA

The MMGA line uses the simplified preview rate. Production rewards will use verified performance, effective online time and the network utilization multiplier.

Why electricity is excluded

The calculator does not subtract electricity expenses. MineAPI targets devices whose owners are already operating or paying for them and want to monetize otherwise idle capacity.

Electricity price, cooling overhead and incremental power draw vary by location and device. Hosts can subtract their own incremental cost from the combined estimate if they want a personal net-profit view.

Preview limitations

Current device rates, MMGA price and expected inference coverage are simulated frontend values.

The calculator does not currently include:

  • live network demand;
  • a measured device benchmark;
  • node reputation or verification penalties;
  • settlement fees or taxes;
  • token vesting or withdrawal conditions;
  • incremental electricity cost.

Use the calculator to understand the reward structure, not as a guaranteed earnings quote.
